L'ancien berceau de la capitale française est l'île de la Cité. Comme l'Île Saint-Louis voisine, la Cité est le cœur historique et l'une des attractions les plus importantes de Paris. L'île est reliée à la ville par neuf ponts - grâce à cela, il n'est pas difficile d'y accéder. Autrefois, il y avait une résidence royale sur l'île, mais aujourd'hui, presque personne n'y vit en permanence. Il ne reste plus qu'une trentaine d'immeubles d'habitation sur la Cité. Outre la majestueuse cathédrale Notre-Dame de Paris, la Cité abrite la célèbre prison de la Conciergerie parisienne (aujourd'hui musée), le palais de Justice, la place Dauphine, le plus ancien marché aux fleurs et bien d'autres objets tout aussi intéressants.

The ancient cradle of the French capital is the Ile de la Cité. Like the neighboring Ile Saint-Louis, the Cité is the historical heart and one of the most important attractions of Paris. The island is connected to the city by nine bridges, making it easy to get there. In the past, the island housed the royal residence, but now almost no one lives here permanently. There are no more than thirty residential buildings left on the Cité. In addition to the majestic Notre-Dame de Paris Cathedral, the Cité is home to the famous Parisian prison Conciergerie (now a museum), the Palace of Justice, Place Dauphine, the oldest flower market and many other equally interesting sites.

Древняя колыбель французской столицы — остров Иль-де-ла-Сите. Как и соседний остров Сен-Луи, Сите является историческим сердцем и одной из самых важных достопримечательностей Парижа. Остров соединён с городом девятью мостами — благодаря этому, попасть на него не составляет труда. В былые времена на острове размещалась королевская резиденция, сейчас же здесь постоянно практически никто не живёт. Жилых домов на Сите осталось не более тридцати. Помимо величественного собора Нотр-Дам-де-Пари, на Сите находится знаменитая Парижская тюрьма Консьержери (ныне музей), Дворец Правосудия, площадь Дофина, старейший цветочный рынок и масса других не менее интересных объектов.
