L'Isac prend sa source sur la commune d'Abbaretz et s'écoule d'est en ouest dans la partie nord de la Loire Atlantique. Elle fait aujourd'hui partie du canal de Nantes à Brest, joyau de la technologie d'irrigation du XIXe siècle. Le canal de Nantes à Brest relie le raidillon de Brest et la Loire à Nantes. Il est divisé en 238 écluses sur 364 kilomètres. Une partie du canal traverse les plans d'eau naturels de Bretagne, dont l'Isac. La zone de balade en bord de rivière est un lieu de prédilection pour les promeneurs et le toponyme « Isac » est largement utilisé pour les entreprises commerciales.

The Isac River originates in the municipality of Abbaretz and flows from east to west in the northern part of the Atlantic Loire. It is now part of the Nantes-Brest Canal, a jewel of 19th century irrigation technology. The Nantes-Brest Canal connects the Brest Raid and the Loire River at Nantes, and is divided by 238 locks for 364 km. Part of the canal runs through the natural water bodies of Brittany, one of which is the Isac. The riverfront is a favorite place for strolling, and the toponym “Isac” is widely used in the naming of commercial enterprises.

Река Изак берет свое начало на территории муниципалитета Аббаре и течет с востока на запад в северной части Атлантической Луары. Сейчас его русло является одной из частей канала Нант-Брест, жемчужины ирригационной техники XIX века. Канал Нант — Брест соединяет Брестский рейд и реку Луару в Нанте, и на протяжении 364 км разделён 238 шлюзами. Часть канала проходит по естественным водоёмам Бретани, одним из которых и является Изак. Набережная реки это излюбленное место для прогулок, а топоним "Изак" широко используется при наименовании  предприятий торговли.
